“You were so kind to me.” “I’m still kind to you. A kindness chained as a marionette.”
“In the dark gospels of my book I noted it all; every misstep, every cynical word, and I breathed it in like spring air.”
“Is that why I’m so.. afraid?” “You can only discover the answer to that yourself.”
“Fear is a playful thing. A man can think about ending his life, but be afraid to do it in darkness.”
“I have nothing left but my life.”
